About the Author

Diane L. McCance has always cherished the art of storytelling, a passion ignited by her fondest moments as a mother reading with her three children, Billy, Kylie, and Maria. Inspired by her dear friend Keegan, who was born prematurely, yet embodies tremendous resilience, Diane crafted The Song of a Feather, a tale celebrating finding one’s voice, strength, and highlights the power of friendship. A dedicated NICU nurse, Diane draws from her experiences to fuel her writing, including her current project, Sacred Beginnings: A NICU Mom’s Journey.

When not working or crafting stories, she enjoys nature walks with her dog Lucy, playing pickleball, and creating stained glass art. Diane lives in Wentzville, Missouri, where she is an active member of the Rough Writer’s group.
