After losing her daughter, Kendra, in a tragic accident in 1998, she turned to poetry as a way to navigate her grief and sorrow. Decades later, after the passing of her mother, brother, and husband, she found herself writing poetry again—pouring her heart into words that express the pain, anger, love, and faith that all shape the journey of life.

About Bev Scanlon
Bev is retired after working as a facilities director and co-owning a print shop with her late husband. Recently, she’s been traveling on mission trips. She has found writing, especially poetry, as a way of expressing the many feelings that come with life.
